I woke this morning to a great idea, building a “Suite” of custom controls for PureBasic. I’m trying to fill in the missing Coloring, Formatting, all the things, as developers, are sorely missing. I’ve confined ALL Code to PureBasic, no shelling to OS layers, making all of the OS Agnostic; However, it is all being written in Zorin Linux, so first to be released will be the “Linux” Versions BUT this is SOURCE so it “should” work across all platforms — just be aware. I do still possess a Windows 11 machine which have cut off from the internet and Microsoft, a pain to work with, but I plan to port code to it and test Compiles and demo’s there and will update my findings, I do not possess a Mac so be aware of this as well.
Focus, as stated above is two fold
- Standard Look and Feel, and code thinking.
- This will be a Suite of controls, with sharing of what can be shared. This includes styling, Text format sharing, for example TextPlus is a Formatted Text Display control (no edit), has a sister control EditPlus, creates Formatted text “similar” to RTF but uses a sort of MarkDown under the covers, the saved output of this loads into Viewer, it also can save in other formats like ODT, PDF, HTML.
- ALL Controls are Fully Documented with extensive Code Comments, with training Documents (ODT, PDF, HTML), and multiple Example Code Projects for you review.
- All controls are being built in Version 6.40, should work in ALL 6.X Versions.
Each Control will roll out with a YouTube Video Link Showing Control, and a Zip Download Link containing ALL Documentation, and Code.
